Apparently a city official in Rhode Island has trouble knowing the difference between ISIS and American patriots. Perhaps a few historical notes will help to clear the air. The American flag was raised over death camps in Germany after they were liberated near the end of World War Two. The ISIS flag flies over prisoner camps today where hundreds are young girl captives are held as sex slaves and burned alive if they don’t consent to rape. The American flag flies atop the USS Missouri monument in Pearl Harbor where American sailors died during the surprise attack by Japanese forces in 1941. The ISIS flag flies over cities taken the mass murder of citizens who dare to not join their heinous cause. The American flag was raised over the rubble of the World Trade Center just days after the towers were brought down by cowardly terrorists using civilians as fodder in hijacked airplanes. The ISIS flag is raised over the heaps rubble where long standing historic buildings have been leveled just to obscure history the terrorists don’t like. A group of fire fighters flying American flags on their trucks on the way to save lives is different that a group of terrorists in stolen pickups on their way to kill people for their religious beliefs.
See the difference?
And thus be it ever when free men shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war’s desolation.
Blessed with victory and peace, may the heaven rescued land
Praise the God who has made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto, in God is our trust.
And the Star Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave,
O’re the land of the free, and the home of the brave.
Last stanza of the National Anthem
